You mentioned Isiah:58 in an earlier blog and it has been on my heart even a couple weeks before that. After reading it i was forced to think about the church in America. Are we doing “church” the way it is intended to be? I believe God desires a life dedicated to people and sharing the good news. Ryan, I am challenged by your mission and feel like i know longer have an excuse not to get involved. Thanks for the encouragement.

Ryan, man that was powerful! Keep on “preachin” it brother. The church needs men & women to tell it like it is, to get us out of our comfort zone. You know there’s a saying about walking a mile in someone else’s shoes and you’re doing that. Things look way different on the other side of the tracks. It is impossible to judge someone after you really & truly “know” them or to judge their “choices” when you know the rest of the story. Thank you for risking it all. You can never go back after you see His people as who they are, His people. Thank you for the challenge to us all to BE the Church and to BE the Body of Christ. As someone who had felt that she was the “least of these” I can testify that when people assume their responsibilty to love as He does it will change a life now and for future generations. It starts with an invitation Ryan and you gave that to me. Thank you. Keep it up!

  2. Chris says:

    Ryan,

Your message in this video is right on track and where it needs to be. We have to step up and be the body of Jesus, and unfortunately all to often we fail to. I was struck recently (a couple of months ago) by the realization that when Jesus said that what ever you do for the least of these you do for me, the reverse is also true. What ever we refuse to do or fail to do for the least of these, we have refused or failed to do it for Jesus.

I pray we would all serve as He calls us to serve and be obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

    Love you brother,

    Chris
