Ryan is doing a great job letting us meet these people and Being able to put faces with name of the people we have been praying for and will keep praying for.
Ryan, Thank you for making us see the homeless as people. I think many of us do not, they are “those people” not “God’s children”. There is something in us that believes that people end up homeless because of their own shortcomings and as long as we don’t do those things we will be okay. That is a lie from the pit of hell. It can happen to any of us or our family. What would I do if that was my son or my daughter? How would I feel if that was me? When I saw the look in that young man’s eyes it hit me. Thank you for making me uncomfortable. I am praying for you and your mission. I am thanking God that I have a home and that my kids have homes. I may have lost my house but I have a nice warm apartment. Thanks for reminding me!
What a blessing to be able to meet them and share worship with them yesterday! Ryan, you have done wonderful things here!
Is your exposure of these people’s shelter causing an awareness in the wrong way? City people can keep up with your blog and find out where the camps are, and tear them down. What next? The truck is going to be hauled away? I’m not all the way through your blog yet. I started on day one and I’m catching up from the library. When I saw you naming the street and pointing out the location of the truck, my heart sunk. You are telling the city where to go to weed out people and remove their shelter.
Yes, it’s bad with all the garbage, but it’s better than nothing.
